EXPANSION OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL PARK IN FINOMAR Sp. z o.o.
The project implementation includes purchase of the bending machine, CNC milling machine for templates including an extraction system
for dust and chips.
The implementation of new solutions allows for bending high quality profiles keeping proper tolerances and for of making complex
templates in CNC technique.
The aim of the project is to implement innovative production solutions for bending sophisticated profiles.
It also allows to offer new services for the shipbuilding sector.
PROJECT VALUE AND CONTRIBUTION OF EUROPEAN FUNDS:
The total value of the project is PLN 680,190 of which PLN 248,850 is co-financed from European Union Funds.
Project implementation date: December 31, 2021
CONSTRUCTION OF THE MULTIFUNCTIONAL SUBMERSIBLE PONTOON
(floating pontoon slipway) for the construction, launching and transporting of ship hulls and their elements
and other large-size structures, with application of innovative technical solutions and method of operation
patented by Finomar Sp. z o.o.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES, PLANNED EFFECTS:
The project consists in technology of production and delivery of the large-size floating structures (ship hulls) and objects for the offshore sector,
using Finomar invention, i.e. a floating launching pontoon (PPP): a solution for lowering changing the high position of large-size structures,.
The project innovation concerns mainly the Finomar patented method of shifting objects from the quay onto the floating launching pontoon
and vice versa, with possibility of tilting the whole set for gradual placing (launching) and operation on relatively shallow waters.
This arrangement allows for moving and placing objects operated in water environment from the wharf onto the surface or on the bottom
of the water basin.
The aim of the project is to implement the process innovation in Finomar that allows for displacement (on the land-water line),
launching, or taking large-size objects of considerable weight (up to 550 tons) from water in the production process, as well as to provide such
services for other customers.
Moreover, it will allow to extend the Finomar’s offer with new proposals, i.e. exceeding weight of 420 tons and length of 30 meters
that can be launched using the floating pontoon slipway (PPP) as well as transported by water to its destination.
Project value and contribution from European Funds:
The total value of the project is PLN 4,374,600 of which PLN 1,800,000 is co-financed from European Union Funds.
Project completion date
The project was implemented in 2020.
SYSTEM CONTROL FOR CHECKING MEASUREMENTS OF STEEL STRUCTURES DURING FABRICATION PROCESS
IN ORDER TO REDUCE CORRECTION WORKS.
Project goal
The subject of the study was to design the measurement control system.
The developed system allows to maintain optimal work parameters control and measurement in terms of required dimensional quality
of structural elements in the process of fabrication of the steel structures at Finomar.
The system is directed toward quick and most accurate determination of the geometrical quality of prefabricated structures.
Gained information forms the basis for the development of selection procedures and optimization of production processes what in turn leads
to the minimization and even elimination of a number of costly technological processes.
The developed system provides for the optimal selection of measurement techniques and methods depending on characteristics of a given
construction process.
The system takes into account the current abilities of Finomar and at the same time it indicates the optimal directions for the development
of measurement equipment.
Planned effects
It was estimated that the developed system will be used for gaining, cataloging and analysis of geometric data for continuous optimization
of the production processes aimed at reducing the labor consumption of correction works.
Project value and contribution from European Funds:
The total value of the project is PLN 36,900.00 of which PLN 24,500.00 was co-financed from European Union Funds.
Contractor and project completion date
The main contractor of the project was the Faculty of Maritime Technology and Transport of the West Pomeranian University of Technology.
The project was implemented in 2017.
